Getting older sucks! While I pray that I'll still be living my best life at the sprite age of 92, I realize that may not be the case. As we age, our bodies start to change, and we have to take a…

If you get your hair colored on a regular basis, then like many of us, right now, I am sure you are looking for Professional Quality Color at Home. Who wants to live with dull color and overgrown roots? It's…
Green, vegan, organic…these buzz words sound like categories in the aisles of a grocery store, but not on the shelves where you buy your deodorant. You may be thinking, First off, why do I need organic deodorant? And besides, those products cost a fortune! Only celebrities buy fancy, clean beauty products. But I'm here to…
Other than staying cool, one of the biggest challenges I face each summer is trying to keep my hair looking its best. Between the heat and the humidity in NYC, it is damn near impossible to get that "straight out of the salon" look. I know I have mentioned this before, but I stopped getting…

We all want fabulous hair, but most of us can't call Glamsquad every day to obtain it. If you follow me on Instagram —and I hope that you do!—you probably know…
When I'm having a good hair day, I feel like I can take over the world. When my hair moves naturally, has body, and always looks in place no matter where it lands, I feel better about myself and my capabilities. I walk with extra pep in my step, I smile a little more, and…

We all get them, pluck them, dye them, and desperately try to hide them. You know what I'm talking about...gray hair. I hate to admit it, but gray hairs have been plaguing me for a few years now, and it sucks! The salt and pepper look is starting to trend, but it's just not for me. Coloring is always a solution but, it can really damage your hair if you are not careful. So I was excited to find Gray Away, a temporary root concealer spray that actually works. One minute curly is trending then it's sleek and straight. Our hair gets its fair share of styles, not to mention how it changes color, sometimes every season. It's a wonder that our hair doesn't just give up on us. I find it harder and harder to keep it healthy with all I put it through.
Great hair, just like anything else is something you have to work for. People always assume my hair is chemically straightened. Most are surprised when I tell them it's actually a blowout, and I did it myself. Yes, I have been styling my hair for over 8 years now. With my busy and ever-changing schedule, it was no longer feasible to get a standing salon appt. So, I did some research, invested in professional grade styling tools, and never looked back. I'm constantly asked how do I keep it healthy. The key is products that nourish and moisturize, while obviously protecting your hair from the damage that heat styling can cause.
You’re probably somewhat aware of the fact that everyone loves coconuts these days. It’s in everything from cooking oils to beauty products, and for a good reason (s), which we’ve gathered below. We think they might inspire you to make coconut a part of your daily routine.

Nothing lasts forever, so every few years I like to upgrade my styling tools. I recently discovered the Sedu Revolution Styling Iron, and it totally blew my mind. Since I style my hair myself, purchasing tools that are professional grade is crucial. My previous flat iron was the Bio Ionic One Pass; it has doubled in price since I purchased it and now retails for $200. It was a great flat iron and did an excellent job of getting my hair straight, but at that price, I need my tool to do more!
