3 Tips for Making the Most Out of Your Summer Wardrobe

Make the most of your summer wardrobeYour summer wardrobe is most likely filled with dozens of these no-fuss outfits that you can literally throw on without contemplating if they look good (because chances are, they do!). But to make the most out of your garments, it’s worth taking queues from the style gurus and put a little more thought into your ensembles, transforming your summer staples into clothing suitable for any occasion, day or night. Although fashion elite will often advise to save bold prints and maxis for the weekend, and opt for bodycon silhouettes and fairytale gowns for the evening, your collection of summer dresses can easily be edited for any event, anytime, anyplace.

Despite the fact that dresses can be worn throughout the year, if there was one season these items were made for, it’s definitely summer. The warm weather has finally arrived, so sporting breezy and lightweight pieces is a no-brainer. Some of my favorite fashion bloggers are once again experimenting with their dress collection, adding new life to their frocks to make their items as versatile as possible.

Here are a few ways to mix up your summer style:

Dress For Success
If your workplace is lax about office attire, try wearing a t-shirt with a printed skirt to keep your look breezy from 9 to 5, adding more or removing jewelry as your plans evolve. Editors deem this cute work outfit as social-butterfly-approved.

Switch your accessories
Whether you’re working with a maxi or fit-and-flare, accessories are your finishing touches that basically determine where you should be headed. While your summer dresses will probably be more often worn during brunch, at the beach or while running errands, trading your woven tote for a clutch and flat sandals for block heels will instantly prepare you for evening affairs.

Class up the tie dye

Tie dye is making a comeback this season, but to take it from the beach to Happy Hour with the girls, try keeping a clean, minimal look with gold hoops and possibly a black bucket bag, as suggested by Harper’s Bazaar.
