Spring is here and—big surprise!—florals are trending like they do every year. Don’t get me wrong; I enjoy a great flowery dress just as much as the next girl, but I am not going to spend the entire month of May in one. Be practical this spring and wear something that makes you feel comfortable and look chic. Check out these five spring trends I recommend trying:
As a New Yorker, I own more black clothing than anyone technically should. However, this spring I am adding white to the mix for something fresh and new. You don’t have to color-block the same way I do, but find a way to incorporate white and black your wardrobe this spring.
Calling all comfort seekers! A shirt dress is the perfect choice whenever the weather is warm. It’s a stylish option whether you’re running errands on the weekend or wearing one to work, and thanks to its flattering design, it looks good on almost everyone. I will be adding a few of these to my wardrobe STAT.
Take a break from the typical floral pattern and opt for an unpredictable print this season. The more interesting, the better, which is why I’ve been known to sport head-to-toe DVF. These designs are super easy to coordinate: pair a solid top or bottom with any color within the print, or you can always wear white or black.
Jump into a jumpsuit this spring, and you may never jump out of it! Jumpsuits are the easy style solution for almost any time of the year. You can sport a silk one with heels to dress things up, or wear one casually with your favorite sneakers. Fit is important, so find one that’s cut proportionally to your torso and legs.
Go big or go home! Bold stripes are everywhere this spring—and they should be on you. You don’t have to wear them head to toe, but why not?! From sophisticated to resort wear, stripes can be a fun addition to your closet this season.
As you plan out your wardrobe this spring, find ways to mix it up while staying chic, casual, and cool.
